Heya folks! It’s been a while since I last did a blog post. I’ve just been caught up in the vagaries of life. There have been a whole lot of changes to my routine, and with the little baby demanding more time, I’ve been on my toes.
Nonetheless, I try hard to squeeze a walk into my routine whenever I can. For me these walks are therapeutic. I never thought I would be saying this! For a person, who has been accustomed to doing the daily rounds of the gym, alternating between zumba and power yoga classes, the leisurely walks until a few months ago, was a far cry.
But, off late, I have been addicted to the outdoors, taking every opportunity to step out. It’s a wonderful feeling, every morning, seeing fellow joggers, cute dogs, pigeons and squirrels all taking in their dose of green.
And if the morning weather in Bangalore is not enough reason, the purple and golden spring blooms definitely will be.
Some food for thought. Check out this TEDx video by Ben Klasky who speaks of nature deficit disorder in our kids today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArhjLa4xbNk
