I recently learnt about this Mumbai based toy and craft company when Saira received an activity kit from them as a birthday gift. I was really excited to see her present, which she chose for herself along with her Nani.
The product she chose was the World Wide Monuments on the Map. We sat down one evening to put the monuments together. We made this together at the play area one day, and one of her friends joined her. It was fun to watch her follow the instructions and put together the monuments. She needed some assistance to make a few, and I made some for her.
This activity box is really unique. It provides 13 foam monument sets, with instructions that guide kids how to build the different monuments. Along with the foam monument activity, the box also comes with an information booklet and a write-and-wipe map.
The activity is unique as it allows kids to learn about the different monuments in a fun way. Besides monuments, they have model making kits across topics: animals around the world, birds, houses and dinosaurs! I also liked the festive ones like the Christmas tree and Santa Claus crafts.
My only peeve with the product is that there is excessive packaging. All the foam monuments come in individual plastic packaging, ensuring wastage. If this can be reduced in any way, it would make the product eco-friendly.
Besides this kit, Imagimake makes some really unique busy boxes for kids. There were others on their website which I found really cool. For example, the Barbie Spyrosity Quilling Kit would be a hit for little girls. This craft kit comes with a motorised coiling station that is designed to make it easy for little gifts to learn about paper quilling.
They also have a whole range of products using PlayDotz. While I’m not a big fan of these as they create a lot of mess, it can work well under supervision.
Their products are for kids from 2 – 7 years. Take a peek at their collection at www.imagimake.com
