Summer makes you want to feel cool and comfortable. And that’s why I am loving these summery outfits by Tj & Li.
The colours they use are very basic – red, white and black. However, what makes their clothing unique is the styling and the fabric. For instance, they have some scarves made with the ‘gamcha’ (the modest Indian cotton towel) cloth. Who would imagine that you could actually make a ‘gamcha’ cloth look so fashionable?
The brand is fairly new. It’s the private label of export fashion house Primetex Brands. I’m assuming the loads of experience they have gathered while preparing garments for brands worldwide, will serve them well.
The brand believes in using Indian embroidery techniques, which are evergreen. These include embroidery like zardozi, aari or the simple cobbler stitch. Brings me back in time, and reminds me of the clothes from my grand mom’s wardrobe!
Check out their collections at https://www.facebook.com/tjlicollective. Would love to see them expand their current wardrobe. The brand retails their clothing at Kalee (Jaipur, India), Nautanky (Ahmedabad, India) or Studio Art, Lado Sarai, New Delhi (India).
