If you are looking for elegant jewelry, check out Eden + Elie. Eden + Elie is a handcrafted jewelry brand that creates modern pieces, inspired by the Singapore heritage.
The jewelry is made using a traditional bead-weaving technique and are all handmade with 24-karat gold. All the glass glass seed beads are sourced from Japan.
They have some lovely statement drop earrings which pair well with dresses. I particularly like their bangle collection. The everyday gold narrow bangle in mint green, mist blue, cabernet red and light oyster are very elegant.
If you are looking for something with a Singapore heritage, check out the modern peranakan collection. The earrings have a delicate flower pattern inspired by the sarong kebaya or the traditional clothing of Nyonya women in Peranakan culture. These earrings are intricate in design and extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear.
Founder Stephanie Choo who founded Eden + Elie completed her degree in the US. She worked in the US as an architect and design professional, and became interested in design during her travels. After moving back to Singapore, Choo worked in the e-commerce and product design space, before launching her jewelry label Eden + Elie.
The brand works with different artisans from underprivileged backgrounds to design its jewelry. The brand has partnered with Autism Resource Centre which helps us assess and provide job coaching for candidates. The brand also works with Daughters of Tomorrow, an organisation that helps support women from low-income groups, who need home-based work.
