I have been noticing that with little ones in the house, plastic toys tend to dominate the playroom. If you’re looking for something more intellectually stimulating, check out the brand Floss and Rock which makes delightful puzzles and games for small children.
The puzzle themes are just incredible. Kabir is hugely into animals so he would love the Animal Ark shaped jigsaw. This is a three-in-one puzzle that integrate into one. There are a whole lot of other themes to choose from – rainbows, ballet, dinosaurs, rocket – almost everything that kids love. I love how the puzzles come in unique shapes and endearing designs. These are great starter pieces for kids to learn problem-solving skills and hone their creativity.
Clearly, you can’t escape imaginative play when you’re thinking about 5 year olds. The brand has some clever imaginative toys. Check out their playboxes with wooden pieces in such fun themes. I love how they are portable, and can be carried on holidays.
They have some lovely tin tea sets as well. These are incredibly cute and perfect for girls. Some of these sets have musical teapots that play tunes that kids love. While my daughter has definitely outgrown this, this is a great toy for 3-5 year olds, whose world revolve around hosting tea parties for their dolls and stuffed animals.
Floss and Rock was founded by husband and wife Tim and Gill, in January 2016. The brand is based in the British seaside town of Blackpool and draws its name from candy floss and sticks of rock (a popular sweet treat in Blackpool).
If you’re a mum like me who loves centreing playdates around art activities, check out the Creative Art section. I totally love the Chalk In sketch board and the Transfer Fun activities.
They have some cool lifestyle products for kids – colour changing umbrellas, cute jewelry boxes, backpacks, belt bags and more.
Kids live in such a colourful world, don’t they?
