You know how tween girls try to imitate adults? My 10-year old suddenly loves perfumes. Just before Christmas she spent time hanging out Zara, checking out every single fragrance.
For Christmas she received a bottle of the Fresh rose -scented fragrance and she was oh-so-delighted. The fragrance is a bit old-school and smells of a grandma’s wardrobe, but I felt it would be a great starter perfume.
Fresh is a super chic brand which makes some incredible fragrances. The scents are very different from the regular perfume brands. Think of unique scents like Lily Jasmine, Fresh Life and Sugar Lychee.
The company was founded by Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg – Russian immigrants who lived in Boston. The brand uses natural ingredients sourced from all over the world. The idea for Fresh came about when Glazman’s mom brought home a French scent from the black market. Along with his wife Alina, Glazman created a line of soaps, cleansers, moisturizers and scents. The company was bought by LVMH in 2000 – a move that gave Glazman’s team more resources to build the business.
They have some fun lip balms too, which work well as an everyday lipstick. Their shades – sugar rose, sugar peony and sugar cocoa are so tasteful.
While I haven’t tried any of their moisturizers or skincare products, some of them might be worth a try!
