Lali Masso’s non-chalant studio is housed in one corner of her beautiful apartment in Singapore. This is where Lali, the founder of Little Friends by Lamasso stocks her beautiful line of clothing.
If comfort is what you choose for your kids, then this brand is for you. Lali stays away from the frills, lace and other bric-a-bracs, and chooses classic cuts and patterns. The occasional elbow patch and a colorful collar are as far as she experiments with design.
She chooses to play around more with colours and fabric. You will find shorts in every possible shade. I love the red, orange and yellow linen shorts for little boys. For girls, she does lovely flower print blouses that look so flowy and comfortable. I fell in love with the bloomers too.
Cheongsams also find place in her fashion portfolio. She uses luxe fabrics (French linen and European cotton) which is a pleasant change from the silk ones that are available in Chinatown. Her clothing is all handmade in Shanghai.
Lali has a natural flair for design. She grew up in a family where her father is a designer, mother is a painter, sister is a ceramist and brother is an architect. Her love for art and design reflects in her home, which is filled with art memorabilia from all over the world.
Her clothing is worth checking out. There is nothing not to like.
