As a kid, I adored plush toys (I still do!). I loved decorating my room with them, and both my sister and me would give each one of them a name. Some of them were bought during our travels, and others were plushies we had fallen in love with during our trip to a toy store.
Today, a lot of mums avoid buying stuffed toys as they harbor a lot of dust mites and allergens, which are particularly harmful for kids suffering from eczema.
A few months ago, I came across Maud n Lil, a Melbourne based company which designs stuffed toys with high quality materials. Designed with certified organic cotton, the toys are free from harmful chemicals, and super safe for babies.
The outside is designed with velour fabric, instead of toxic polyester fibres that are harmful for little lungs. Thankfully, you don’t have to think twice before placing these plushies in your baby’s crib or toddler’s bed.
The company sent us the Giant Rose bunny that is a delightful little rabbit with cute flappy ears. It was so neatly packaged in a box. Saira happily welcomed the little bunny, introducing her to her other animal and doll friends. On most days, you will find her perched on her shelf, with her other littlies.
Besides soft toys, they also have a delightful range of ring rattles, rattle bell socks and comforters.
Its funny how we sometimes skimp the little details when we shop for toys for our little ones. I admire such companies that promote sustainable living.
All the information that they provide on the quality of their toys was such an eye opener for me. Read this to know more: https://maudnlil.com.au/organic-cotton/
I am hoping going forward we can reduce the faux furries from our toy shelf!
