In sunny Singapore, kids do end up spending a lot of time in the water. Most condominiums here have a swimming pool, allowing kids to cool off by the water.
Ocean’s Paradise is my most favourite store to pick up swimwear for the kids. The brand has three locations in Singapore and is always packed with cool swimwear to make pool days fun.
Why I like the brand so much? They stock hi-quality swim gear from brands like Snapper Rock, Tom and Teddy, Zoggs and Funkita. The prices are definitely on the steeper side, but yes you are paying for quality. The quality of the swimsuits is great – soft fabric and sun-protective swimwear (UPF 50+).
For my daughter, I usually opt for the full-sleeve surf suit to protect her delicate skin from sun-burn. They have so many design and colour options. I also love the bikini-style swimsuits for girls – the colours are so tasteful – and you feel so cool when you are in the water.
For my son, I love the Teddy and Tom collection. My son loves wearing ‘loose’ swimsuits. The swimsuits are comfortable and easy to slip in and out of. They have the typical boyish prints – starfish, hot-air balloons, palms, boats and everything else that baby boys are into.
While I am a big fan of the jammers, I feel Kabir is still a bit young to wear them. So, I opted for the toddler trunks which I find super cute. These are super short and easy to wash and dry.
Besides the swimsuits, I also love their floaties collection. They have such lovely round rings for girls to float in. Their designs range from mermaids, unicorns, ice-pops and snazzy rings. They also have a lovely collection of ponchos to choose from – kids love hoodies and the rabbit, shark and lion designs, are so cute and colourful.
