I came across Paul Rommer’s artwork on Etsy and really liked the unique prints he makes of skylines around the world. The artist’s son was kind enough to send me a print of Kolkata (India), a city that I grew up in.
Paul Rommer passed away in May 2017. He was a professional photographer with over 20 years of experience. He worked in the field of social photography, advertising and industrial laboratory and digital graphic design.
The use of bright splotches of colour to paint these skylines is wonderful. Rommer doesn’t sell the originals, but you can buy fine art print glicee posters of his work. He allows you to choose between different kinds of paper: Kodak photo paper, watercolour paper and semi-smooth fine art matte paper.
He has over 500 skylines choosing cities from the US, India, Europe. He has made some of the skylines in pop art too, which are lovely as gifts.
