I stop by Providore, an elegant cafe located at Mandarin Gallery on Orchard Road, Singapore. The quiet cafe located on level 2 of the gallery overlooks the busy Orchard Road – Singapore’s shopping district.
The cafe menu has a bit of everything – muesli, sourdough toast, pastries, lasagna, meat and cheese platters for a quick bite.
They have a decent bakery that includes fig and walnut bread, brioche loaf, fruit scones and baguettes. This pairs well with their extensive collection of jams – seville orange marmalade, pink grapefruit marmalade and strawberry and raspberry jam.
They have a decent range of olive oils all sourced from different parts of the world and sold under the Providore brand.
The dark chocolate range is worth checking out. I sample a few variants, and my favorites are dark orange, dark Madagascar and dark Venezuela.
The sweet candies and sugar cubes from Tokyo are all so well packaged!
They also have a delightful collection of teas, hot chocolate all sold under their own label.
Before I leave, the bartender offers me a fresh pineapple, blackberry and mint juice. I savour it at the outdoor section of the cafe, catching a glimpse of the bustle on Orchard Road.
A great place for a leisurely meal with family & friends.
