Usborne Books are always a big hit with kids. This UK based company publishes some wonderful book titles for kids. The publisher has worked with many authors to create lovely book titles for children.
Fiona Watt is one such popular writer who has worked with Usborne Books to create sweet touch and feel books for babies. I introduced these books to my one-year old recently. He enjoys flipping through the book and pats his hands on the textured images.
When I tried to get some photo, he just whisked off, so I managed to take some candid shots.
For my older girl, we have some Usborne titles that we’ve read together. The Look Inside sports series is one that we’ve read a few times. I felt that the information about the different sports might be too much information to digest, but she enjoys reading the book with me. What excites her are the little flaps on each page. She loves opening the flaps and asking me to read the facts that hide beneath. Usborne makes a whole lot of Look Inside titles from science, cars, castles, space, farms, airport, trains, food, jungle: enough topics to pique your child’s interest.
She recently received the Usborne Book of Growing Food from her uncle as a birthday gift. It’s a fun title encouraging kids to pick up a hobby in gardening. She fervently flipped to the page on growing strawberries and wants to grow some at home too!
They have a series of such hobby books like gardening for beginners; start to cook book, embroidery, origami kits and the like.
Usborne books are beautifully illustrated and the quality of paper used is excellent allowing it to pass through multiple hands without damage. Undeniably adults will enjoy the books as much as kids do.
