I stumbled upon JOMO Studio while dropping my son to soccer class. The name caught my eye, and I decided to look up the brand online. I was excited to read more about this upcoming skin-care brand, and their skin-care tablets caught my attention.
I contacted the founder Tiffany to learn more about her unique product range. She invited me to her very calming studio, where we chatted about all things JOMO.
JOMO is a Singaporean brand that was started by two friends Tiffany Wang and Joey Gan in 2018. Tiffany has a graphic design background and has worked with a boutique graphic design firm in Singapore called GSK Creative. Joey, the main founder has a background in merchandising and branding, and started JOMO Studio as a way to break out of her hectic corporate life, and find a balance between work and mom duties.

The very cheerful Tiffany ran me through all the hard work that has gone behind building her brand. Her skin-care products – face wash tablets, hand and body wash and bar soaps are all eco-friendly, non-toxic, vegan and sulphate and paraben free. She has also put in a lot of effort to keep her packaging eco-friendly. I love how she is brimming with ideas, but also realises that start-ups take time to get off the ground.
The idea behind JOMO Studio came by when founder Joey was on the hunt for kind-to-the-skin products that would be suitable for her eczema prone skin. After hunting for clean beauty brands, and trying out some at-home concoctions, she realised she might be creating a product that could go to market.
The facial cleansing tablets which come in tiny aluminium boxes, remind me of mint candy boxes. With 18 tablets in a box, these are perfect for carry on work travel or holidays. Made with ingredients such as rose oil, Japanese honeysuckle and coconut milk and oats, this single use facial cleansing tablet is believed to be packed with all good stuff! I personally loved the rose crush flavour of the tablet – the subtly lingering rose scent makes you feel super good.
Her Fizz-o-foam product is what she is set out to promote. The kit contains a lovely foaming bottle and soap tablets, allowing you to create your own handwash. One has to fill the bottle with water and drop a tablet and watch it foam. Once the foam runs out, you can buy refill tablets to replenish the handwash. I used the foaming handwash and realised it is very gentle on the skin. The brand offers tablets in a variety of cool flavours – citrus blooms, grapefruit mints, orange oolong, geranium lavender and coffee mints.
The brand has tried to keep her products affordable to reach out to a larger audience.
The products steer away from artificial scents and use natural essential oils, which is kind to the skin.
She says she draws inspiration from Blueland Cosmetics in the US which makes similar products across a wider range of product categories like hand soap, dish washing liquids, and the like.
She stocks her products at Design Orchard and Social Space, Singapore. Check out her products on her very clean website at www.jomostudio.sg
